There are several ways to get to Ruan Lumphu, it's very simple to use the railway system, or you can take the Number 907 bus, or you can drive from Bangkok to Chonburi by taking the main 304 road for about 45 min beginning in Minburi to Chachoengsao (Pad-Rew).

ประวัติ เรือนลำพู :

เริ่มแรกก่อนจะคิดทำเป็นสถานที่พัก คิดว่าจะทำเป็นที่อยู่อาศัยยามเกษียณอายุราชการ และกอปร กับเป็นคนรักษ์ธรรมชาติ จึงสร้างเรือนเล็กๆ ขึ้นมาสองหลัง แต่ระยะหลัง มีญาติ และ เพื่อน ๆ ติดใจ รวมทั้งชาวต่างชาติ จึงเปิดเป็นที่พักผ่อน ส่วนใหญ่ผู้มาพัก คือ คนที่ต้องการหาความสงบ บางที ก็มานั่งอ่านหนังสือ ดูดาว เวลากลางคืน เห็นธรรมชาติ ยามเย็น พระอาทิตย์อัสดง ได้เห็นชีวิตสัตว์ป่าชายเลน และการอนุรักษ์ สิ่งแวดล้อม ให้สมดุลย์กันระหว่าง ธรรมชาติ และ สัตว์น้ำ

ส่วนคำว่าเรือนลำพู นั้นมาจากการที่เราเลือกสถานที่ปลูกเรือน บริเวณต้นลำพูนั่นเอง ฉะนั้น ช่วงเวลากลางคืน จะมีหิ่งห้อยเกาะตามต้นลำพู มากบ้าง น้อยบ้าง ตามแต่ฤดูกาล นั่นคือคำบอกเล่าของคุณสุรศักดิ์ กัญจนา เจ้าของที่พัก เล็ก ๆ ใกล้เมืองหลวง ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ใน จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา เขตตัวเมืองแปดริ้ว เรือนลำพู เป็นเรือนไม้เล็กๆ ใกล้กรุงเทพ และไม่ไกลจาก สุวรรณภูมิ
